The Trust Wallet browser extension has been temporarily removed from the Google Chrome Web Store, delaying the rollout of a new version designed to help users affected by the Christmas Day hack. According to CEO Eowyn Chen, the issue stems from a Chrome Web Store bug encountered during the update process.

The delayed release was meant to include tools allowing victims to verify eligibility and submit reimbursement claims. With more than 2,500 confirmed affected addresses but roughly 5,000 claims submitted, Trust Wallet warned that false or duplicate filings are complicating the recovery process and slowing reimbursements.
