Fortnite has officially revealed that downtime for update v40.10 begins on April 1 at 4 AM ET, with matchmaking shutting off about 30 minutes earlier. This marks the first major update of Chapter 7 Season 2, a season already shaking things up with its team-based “Showdown” theme where players align with either The Foundation or the Ice King and battle rival players for points.

But the real hype lies in what’s coming next. The update is set to bring back Chapter 1 Season 8 content through Fortnite OG, complete with a new pass, returning mechanics, and nostalgic map elements. On top of that, the Endgame LTM is making a comeback on April 3, giving players even more to dive into after the update drops.
