Donkey Kong has become one of Nintendo’s fastest growing franchises again following the massive success of Donkey Kong Bananza on Switch 2, which reportedly sold more than 4.5 million copies in under a year. Between strong game sales, rumors of a future movie, and increasing merchandise expansion, Nintendo appears to be pushing Donkey Kong back into the spotlight for the first time since the legendary Donkey Kong Country era of the 1990s.
