Marvel Rivals Just Dropped the Hammer on Cheaters

NetEase has issued a massive ban wave in Marvel Rivals, permanently banning 504 players for cheating, exploit abuse, client tampering, and using unauthorized assist tools.

What makes this crackdown interesting is that most banned accounts were stuck in Bronze and Silver ranks, suggesting many were likely burner accounts created specifically to avoid detection on main profiles.

The studio also pushed back hard against rumors claiming players could simply “delete” the anti-cheat system. According to NetEase, those claims are completely false, and the company says its in-house anti-cheat cannot be independently disabled from the game itself.

Even more serious penalties could be coming next:
