New Account Security Measures Introduced in Season 3

As part of Season 3 updates, Activision has introduced additional account security requirements for players of Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. New free-to-play PC accounts are now required to use SMS-based two-factor authentication to reduce account misuse and repeated violations.

This measure is being rolled out initially for newly created accounts, with plans to expand to existing users over time. The update complements ongoing efforts to combat cheating, including legal actions taken against cheat providers and enforcement against third-party tools.
