Crypto PACs Have Already Poured Over $500 Million Into the 2026 Elections
-

The crypto industry is becoming one of the biggest financial forces in US politics ahead of the 2026 midterms. According to data from Follow the Crypto, crypto-linked PACs, executives, and companies have already spent more than $500 million trying to influence congressional races across the country. The spending gap between Republicans and Democrats is becoming impossible to ignore. Crypto super PACs have reportedly spent more than double supporting Republican candidates compared to Democrats, while donations from crypto executives and companies favored Republicans by an even wider margin. Analysts say much of the alignment comes from Republican support for deregulation and lighter oversight of the financial and crypto sectors.
At the same time, crypto-backed spending is starting to become a political issue itself. Some Democratic candidates have used massive crypto-funded campaigns against opponents as a talking point, arguing that outside industry money is trying to influence elections behind the scenes.
