Steam Deck OLED Prices Just Jumped by Hundreds of Dollars Worldwide
-

Valve has officially increased the price of the Steam Deck OLED across multiple regions, making the popular handheld significantly more expensive in 2026. The 512GB model in the US jumped from $549 to $789, while the 1TB version now costs $949, a massive $300 increase from its previous price. The price hikes also affect Canada, Europe, the UK, Australia, and Poland. The changes come amid ongoing hardware shortages and rising component costs tied to the global AI infrastructure boom, which has sharply increased demand for RAM, SSDs, and processors across the tech industry.
Despite the higher prices, Valve says the Steam Deck OLED is finally back in stock after months of supply issues. However, the increases now place the handheld much closer in price to premium gaming devices like the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X and even the PS5 Pro, raising new questions about the future pricing of Valve’s upcoming Steam Machine hardware.
